OCCO Meets with Rep. Angie King and Bobby Kovey

During the September 2023 meeting of the Ohio Council of County Officials, members heard from State Representative Angie King who has introduced HCR 6, Urge Congress to repeal Windfall Elimination. This resolution would encourage the federal government to fix the Windfall Exemption Provision harming many state and local government employees in Ohio. This has passed in committee and is waiting action on the House floor. Rep. King urged members to contact our state and federal officials to support efforts to fix WEP. 

Additionally, Bobby Kovey of The Ohio Innovation and Technology Association discussed ways local governments can coordinate technology needs with OITA through forums and discussions.
